For the past seven years
Roger has conducted our annual member satisfaction study, facilitated
our strategic planning process and coached our staff. He has been a key
asset for me and his insight has enabled us to make steady improvements
in our staff performance, service quality and overall member
satisfaction.
Roger’s direction and
facilitation of the strategic planning process and his compilation and
administration of the online survey is enabling CMAA in Florida to be
far more effective for members.
Roger guided our board to develop a
strategic plan and implement it through a matrix of detailed action
steps. Roger continues to play an important role in our future. "We are
Addison Reserve, excellence is our standard!”
Roger provided the expert guidance we
needed, working side by side with the Board and Management to help us
develop a Strategic Plan for the next 3 to 5 years. In so doing, we have
identified the critical issues for Long Cove and are now focused on the
action steps outlined in the plan. Roger has become a new partner in
Long Cove Club’s future success. He is a great asset that I would fully
recommend to any club/community. His vast experience
and first-hand knowledge of club operations is profoundly helpful and
shortens the learning curve.
We view our partnership with Roger as a
long term arrangement that will play an important role in Quail Ridge
Community’s future. In our member study, POA and Club strategic plan
and performance improvement projects, Roger has been an effective
facilitator, committed to results specific to our community. What has
impressed me most is Roger’s ability to immerse himself into the
operation and quickly understand our culture, which has led to timely
and effective solutions.
When I became Head
Coach/General Manager of the Calgary Stampeders in January, 2008, I was
very confident in my ability to perform my Head Coaching duties, but
felt I needed more confidence in my role as General Manager. My
relationship with Roger has alleviated those concerns. Roger's guidance
helped me to understand personality types, the importance of employee
engagement and effective communication; and most recently devised a new
grading system for my coaches and players (accountabilities, measures,
and standards). The knowledge I gained through Roger's efforts and
expertise not only helped me to become an effective General Manager, but
also a better Head Coach which undoubtedly played a role in our 2008
Championship season!
Roger helped us monitor
membership perceptions and presented a road map of the future to our
club leaders and members through a very effective strategic planning
process.
Roger’s planning process helped AM&E
(manufacturer of golf accessories) look at our business from a new
perspective which led us to decisions about positioning our country
club products and satisfying our customer demand in creative ways.
We would not be on track to making our company stronger without
Rogers’s contribution.
ARIZONA MANUFACTURING AND EMBROIDERY I have had the great pleasure of working with Roger Hietbrink on four separate occasions. My first opportunity was with the survey and strategic plan for the Florida Chapter of the Club Manager’s Association of America. His work was so valuable that we still use it in all of our strategic planning. The second occasion was with a comprehensive survey of the membership for our Long Range Planning Committee for our club, The Florida Yacht Club. The information was so detailed and valuable, that our Capital Improvement Plans were built exclusively around that survey. The third occasion was last year in 2009 when I asked Roger to conduct a workshop for private club General Managers and their Presidents for the Florida Chapter of CMAA. As Chairman of Education for the state, I was responsible for education programming for our members. Both workshops were well attended and I received rave reviews from the attendees. Additionally, the workshops help my state chapter receive The Excellence in Education Award from our national association. My most recent work with Roger was in January 2010 when the Board of Governors for the Florida Yacht Club was looking for a facilitator for our annual Board Retreat. I recommended Roger without hesitation. It was unquestionably the most productive Board Retreat on record. His skills as a facilitator and strategic analyst are unmatched. I have been managing private clubs for both corporations and individuals for over 25 years and I have enjoyed much success. I have been around long enough to realize that my success has always been dependent upon the quality of people I surround myself with. Roger is the kind of person I surround myself with. He is my Go-To Guy anytime I need the very best in his field.
